What’s SwagBucks?
Swagbucks.com is the most sought out rewards program on the web allowing web and mobile members to earn virtual currency called Swag Bucks. They connect advertises to customers and they’re willing to pay a small percentage of what they make to their members. They’re one of the top 500 websites worldwide and have been named the fastest growing company in Los Angeles.
Each Swag Buck is worth about one cent and once you have at least 450 Swag Bucks, you can redeem them for a $5 Amazon gift card. A minimum of 2500 Swag Bucks is needed for a $25 PayPal gift card. Other valuable rewards are from the most trusted and popular online and offline retailers including Wal-Mart, Target, TJ Maxx and Best Buy. Restaurant gift cards are also available.
How Does It Work?
Signing up is simple and free. When you first join, you will have to answer 16 questions about yourself so they can recommend relevant surveys to you. This can be found by scrolling your mouse over your name, clicking on My Settings, and clicking on Survey Profiles. Once you do this, you will get 32 Swag Bucks.
Is SwagBucks a Scam?
There are quite a few complaints about it online, but I personally haven’t had any trouble with them. If I do, I will update my review. Some complaints include people being banned from the program, but it’s probably because they were abusing the system. Also, the more members they retain, the more money they will make.
Most of the complaints are regarding the surveys and free trial offers, but remember that these are completely optional and do the offers that you want and genuinely interest you.
I had a good experience taking two surveys already with an average of 40 Swag Bucks each that were credited immediately and they took me an average of 25 minutes to complete.
Since its launch in 2008, they have given their members over $72,123,861 dollars in gift cards and rewards. There’s no sign up fee and they don’t ask for personal information.
You’ll earn Swag Bucks for stuff you’re already doing online including shopping, playing games, searching the web, clipping coupons, listening to Radio Loyalty and watching entertaining and educational videos that shouldn’t add any extra time in your schedule.
However, they do offer other time consuming tasks that include answering surveys and completing forms for free offers.
Stop working for less than what you deserve and build a solid online business.
How to Earn the Most Swag Bucks
1. Set your daily earning meter.
Each time you reach you earning goals, you’ll get bonus Swag Bucks. You’ll get an attractive bonus for keeping up your streak and meeting your daily earning goal.
2. SwagBucks special offers
With the special offers, you’ll save big and you could earn big. It’s better than getting cash back; however, you do have to be careful as some offers could be scams. Only do offers from brands you trust and that interest you. Each offer will have special terms that can be found on the bottom of the offer where it will state how long it will take for your Swag Bucks to be rewarded.
3. Do your To Do List Every day. This includes
- The Daily Crave- You can earn 1 Swag Buck for every 4 or 5 minutes of watching interesting content and videos around the web.
- The NOSO’s (no obligation special offers)- All you have to do here is view about one to three offers and complete or skip them to be rewarded with 2 easy Swag Bucks.
- A daily poll-Just answer one quick and easy question each day for one Swag Buck. You could even submit your own poll ideas for a little extra Swag Bucks.
4. Do your shopping through Swagbucks Shop and Earn
It makes sense to transfer stuff you’re already buying or planning to buy such as Proactive, Groupon, Restaurant.com, Living Social, JustFab, Julep, No! No! Hair Removal or a Netflix and Costco membership for some nice cash back. If you’re planning to register a domain name, they have an offer where they will award you 1,800 Swag Bucks for registering a domain through GoDaddy.
5. Keep Track
Make sure you’re keeping track of how much you’re spending and how much Swag Bucks you should earn and when they should be deposited.
6. Do your shopping online during Black Friday.
During Black Friday and Cyber Monday, you’ll earn double and triple the Swag Bucks.
7. Check your inbox every day.
They will sent videos you can watch for two easy Swag Bucks and other offers that may interest you.
8. Invite friends to Swagbucks.com.
Click on new and you’ll find your link on the bottom. By inviting your friends to Swagbucks, you’ll earn 10% for life of all their earnings. Referring others is easier if you have your own website or blog.
It should be simple to refer others, who wouldn’t want to earn a little extra cash just for searching the web? Every time you get Swag Bucks, you can share the news on your Twitter or Facebook and your referral link is already included.
What I liked About It
- Get Swag Bucks for learning how to use their program. Just click on watch- Browse- SB originals and All About Swagbucks.
- Swag Bucks are awarded just for searching. This happens on every third or fourth search with an average of about 8 Swag Bucks.
- Earn at least 8 Swag Bucks each time you complete your to do list. This can be found on the top left of your homepage.
- The daily crave offers helpful and entertaining information including finance and movie reviews.
- Earn Swag Bucks all day just for listening to Radio Loyalty. You’ll be rewarded with 3 Swag Bucks every 30 minutes, sometimes they offer double the bucks.
- Get up to 150 Swag Bucks for watching videos in a variety of categories including fresh movie trailers, celebrity videos, news, health and food. My personal favorite section is food of course and got rewarded 3 Swag Bucks for every 10 videos watched just for learning how to cook new recipes.
- There are some very easy ways to earn including subscribing to YouTube videos and requesting a completely free credit report from Credit Karma.
- With Swagbucks mobile, you can get alerted about new Swag Codes wherever you are so you never miss one again.
- Earn and save money by shopping at your favorite retail and online stores- it’s better than getting cash back.
- The rewards store has thousands of gift cards and they always have some on sale. You also have the option to redeem them for cash through PayPal.
- They sent you free Swab Bucks on your birthday.
- Sometimes I get Swag Bucks for taking a survey.
- Earn up to five times for playing games. If you like taking risks, you could earn even more if you participate in the tournaments.
- It’s free to sign up.
What I Didn’t Like
- There’s a lot of claims that the toolbar can crash down your computer. According to Rescuemybrowser.com, this toolbar is harmful to your computer and can cause viruses, malware, and an invasion to your privacy. If you’re just doing your to do list or not buying anything, you’ll be making about $2.40 to $50 a month.
- The Swagstakes is thought to be a scam and that the winners are not real people.
- Some people claim to not receive their Swag Bucks after completing offers. Make sure you read the special terms under the offer as some can take up to six weeks for your Swag Bucks to be credited. Here are some tips to make sure you’re getting your bucks:
- Some offers are trials so you have to keep track of when to call in and cancel.
- The majority of the surveys seem to be fill up or I don’t quality.
- It takes up to 15 days for your gift cards to be credited.
- Some of the videos keep pausing.
- It takes a while for the games to load up.
- Too many of the same ads within every video and the radio.
- Some offers for free stuff can be very time consuming and I only got a free sample from Suave.
Who Can Join Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is currently open to only USA, Canada and UK residents older than 13.
Support
There’s useful advice on the bottom of their website on how to use the platform and what you should and not do. As mentioned previously, there are videos that explain the platform. There is also a contact form where members can email customer service if you need help with anything. Members also have access to other members on their website, Facebook page and on Twitter.
My Final Opinion of SwagBucks
Swagbucks is a great site to make a little extra spending cash for things you are already doing online and offline such as shopping at popular retail stores and searching the web. However, some of the tasks, surveys and special offers can be very time consuming and some of them may be scams. I think I get rewarded for every ten surveys that I try to do.
Use your time wisely and don’t spend too much time on the site. I recommend just doing your to do list, checking your inbox for videos that you can watch for two quick easy Swag Bucks, check out some offers that interest you or do some shopping that you would have done anyways while listening to Radio Loyalty and that’s it.
If you have extra time, watch videos, play games, and look for surveys with a decent payout for the amount of time that it takes to complete it. Don’t forget to search the web using their search first and stay away from the toolbar. Do offers that interest you and keep track of the trial offers and when to cancel.
If you’re looking to make passive income online, check out my number one recommended program that has a completely free membership and will show you step by step to build an online business based around your passion.
